Power RAYnkings: Week 10

RAYNKINGS.png

With over 80% of my predictions correct, I think a high C low B is pretty good for the season. Some interesting match ups for this week. Breaking Balls vs. Asthmatics, SOMB vs Chicken and Wiffles, Huntington Wifflers vs, Wifflin' Dixie, and Black Sheep vs Plain White Tees. With races for awards coming to a close, races couldn't be tighter going into the final stretch. Who knows who will win home run king, or golden slugger awards while some other awards are pretty much on lock. Lets see how this works out.

Breaking Balls vs Asthmatics

This series will come down to if McClanahan is there this week or not. Gordon is back which helps the team, and Pritt is on the verge of becoming homerun king but has one person in the way. The last time these two franchises faced off they had close battles but breaking balls limped away with both wins. If Hesson or chapman slow down the walks i can see this going as a split, if McClanahan doesn't show up this series going as a split. But im going to say that this will be a sweep for Breaking Balls.

Huntington Wifflers vs Wifflin' Dixie

This could be a fun series to watch. The Wifflers have improved since the last time they played each other and added some fire power. Larson and sturgil could be a problem for ole Dixie but if all the players show up then it would be problem. All players show up and play both games they could sweep away with this series. But they still have to pitch to big Mike McCoy! He has been providing 80 percent of the offense for this team, but Mikey Saxton has been stepping up and providing some help. This could be a high scoring match up but a split this will be.

split series

SOMB vs Chicken and Wiffles

8-7, the score of both games the last time these to franchises squared off with SOMB limping away with both victories. I don't see that happening again. Out of the last four teams Ray has faced, he has only given up 4 runs in 21 innings. Andrew Westcott has proven to be a reliable 2nd pitcher and difficult to hit. The whole team is on a hitting spree and all players are within the top 12 of season batting average. Andrew Westcott is on top of the homerun race and is looking to hold strong to it. This week seems to favor SOMB for one main reason. Fischer will not be there to pitch which means they have to put someone other than Smith to pitch. They are coming off from being swept by Black Sheep to a much powerful team and not having fischer does not help their cause.

Black Sheep vs. PWT

Last time these 2 teams faced Black Sheep ran the score up to 53-1 which put a sour taste in much of the leagues mouth. I still see them winning both but PWT has a new player that can hit the slower lob pitches over the fence consistently. Daniels has hit a lot of homeruns only playing 2 weeks and the score will not favor PWT at least the will put up more than 1 run this time around.
