Roster for the 2018 HWL Mothmen
Its been four years since the HWL has made an appearance for nationals. Finally they qualified for the big tournament. So here is a look at who will be representing HWL this year.
Cody Brown - is a newcomer to the wiffleball scene and brings several years of baseball experience. He is still learning the ropes of pitching a wiffleball, however he has caught on quickly and has been a great asset to our pitching rotation. He also is an excellent contact hitter and can make plays happen even against the fastest pitching. Will his rookie status hinder his performance at Nationals?
Kris Clark - also joins Mothmen as a wiffleball rookie. Bringing an excellent repertoire of pitches and a great bat, he is looking to have a breakout tournament this weekend
Wyatt Zuspan - Our All Star selection, Wyatt brings a near perfect balance in wiffleball. Not only an incredible hitter, he is also an amazing fielder and can make plays on nearly any ball hit. As a leadoff hitter, making contact comes naturally but is capable of hitting the long ball with any at bat.
Tyler Roush - Our HR Derby selection, Tyler has power that is unmatched. He is capable of hitting a HR at any time and also brings an unbelievable defense to HWL. NASA has recently released information on a UFO in Earth’s orbit that turned out to be a wiffleball he hit last week.
Brice Clark - Brice is a strong lefty that is the “trifecta” of wiffleball. He is a solid hitter, great pitcher, and excellent fielder and will provide amazing talent to the team. Although he is very outspoken, he is able to back it up with unbelievable wiffleball ability.
Paul Hesson - As a veteran, Paul will help add balance to the team. A great hitter and fielder, he can also throw a “high heat” fastball that can be hard to hit. He is one of two players on the team to make their second appearance to Nationals.
Jeremy Ray - Also a wiffleball veteran, Jeremy is the “face” of HWL and the coach / team captain. He can find the zone at almost any time with amazing movement on the ball and quite a bit of speed. Also a great contact hitter, getting on base comes naturally for him.
